COLOMBO (News 1st); A delegation from the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association representing those involved in the preparation of food, distribution and sales, etc., called on Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa on Friday (17).
Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said that Sri Lanka is currently experiencing a man-made catastrophe, and the people are going through the results of myth-based decision-making.
The Leader of the Opposition said that the country is now experiencing the consequences of awarding tax cuts to government cronies, and when Sri Lanka slipped down the ratings, the Government blamed an international conspiracy for the negative grades.
Many people are suffering while waiting in queues to purchase essentials, while some people are dying, but still, the Government does NOT give any solutions, said Premadasa.
The Leader of the Opposition said that the country would not move forward in this position, and for change, the only option is an election.
